About Us
Founded in 1970, The Beach & Country Guild is an all-volunteer organization of women dedicated to generating funds in support of United Cerebral Palsy in San Diego (UCPSD) and the programs, facilities, and services it provides its clients.
Every element of our operation is performed by our members; there are no paid positions within the group. Everything from fundraising to finances, media relations to the planning and execution of our major fundraiser, Dia del Sol, is generated, planned, or procured by our membership.
Membership within the Guild is invitation-only. New member candidates are thoughtfully selected by existing members because of their unique skills and attributes that would benefit the group, and they will share our passion for our goal of supporting UCP San Diego.
Due to a unique clause in the Guild’s bylaws, all funds raised by our organization remain in San Diego county, ensuring that our efforts benefit our neighbors within our community.
With net annual contributions to UCP San Diego averaging between $150,000 and $250,000, the Beach & Country Guild is a significant factor within the annual operations of UCP in San Diego County.

This marks my second year serving as president of the Beach and Country Guild, a role that fills me with immense gratitude and joy. Every day, I am reminded of the passion, dedication, and unwavering commitment of the extraordinary women who make up this organization. It is truly inspiring to witness their tireless efforts in organizing impactful events, fostering community connections, and raising essential funds to support UCP San Diego.
The Beach and Country Guild has a long-standing tradition of championing UCP San Diego’s mission—advocating for a world where people with disabilities can live life without limits. Through their hard work and determination, these phenomenal women embody the spirit of compassion and empowerment ensuring that individuals with disabilities have access to vital resources and opportunities that enable them to thrive.
Looking ahead, I am filled with excitement and optimism for what the future holds. With the collective strength, vision, and dedication of the Beach and Country Guild, I am confident that we will continue to make meaningful strides in creating a more inclusive and supportive community.
