Colleen Clayton
Colleen Clayton, 2011 Beach & Country Guild President, brings over 18 years of philanthropic involvement, energy and passion to the Beach & Country Guild. She brings civic, cultural, active, political and fashion experience to the Guild, with previous leadership seats on dynamic teams such as the Boise River Festival Inaugural Board, Ballet Idaho, The Houston Grand Opera, The Houston Symphony, the Phoenix, Arizona City Council Transportation Committee, and IronMan Arizona.
Moving to California with her family only 6 years ago, Colleen immediately began to cultivate her community spirit in San Diego. She accepted an invitation to the Beach and Country Guild in 2009, and was the Fashion Co-chair bringing a new vision to Dia del Sol’s Runway Fashion Show. In 2010, Colleen was appointed Treasurer to the BCG, Board. And in 2011, Colleen accepted an appointment as President of this incredible group of talented women.
Colleen remains an active member of the San Diego community, and leader in the fashion industry, with over 25 years experience in luxury retail including Neiman Marcus, Saks 5th Avenue, MaxMara, Tory Burch, and now the Managing Director of Hermes, in San Diego.
Colleen considers a successful day one that includes a quiet moment of peace with her husband, a 5 mile run in the sun, a great aria, and shared laughter with each of her 6 children.
Andrene Dziubinski
As the 2010 President of the Beach & Country Guild, Andrene Dziubinski Chaired the Guild’s signature Dia Del Sol event, and in partnership with several key members, assisted in instituting the inaugural ‘Rancho Rags for Riches’ Rummage Sale, and the inaugural ‘Ladies Spring Golf Classic’ both of which are now annual events benefiting United Cerebral Palsy of San Diego. In previous years, Andrene has worked as the ‘Fashion Stages’ Coordinator in 2008 and as the Silent Auction Coordinator in 2009. Andrene Dziubinski is currently in her fourth year with the Guild and serving as Vice President & Publicity Chair.
Andrene Dziubinski brings over 15 years of philanthropic involvement to the Beach & Country Guild. Her history in San Diego includes having produced fashion forward events for Rady Children’s Hospital, the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, the Jenna Druck Foundation, Las Damas, and Las Patronas. Similarly, Andrene has also had the distinct privilege of working with dynamic teams on the coordination of many high-profile fundraising events, including Ranch & Coast Magazine’s ‘Fall Fashion Preview’, the Jenna Druck Foundation’s ‘Your Best Year Ever’ as well as the Beach & Country Guild’s annual ‘Dia del Sol’ event to benefit United Cerebral Palsy. She remains an active member of the community and currently sits on several Boards.
Angela Sharma
Beach & Country Guild Secretary Angela Sharma is the newest member of the Board. She comes to us from a long history of service in the community in Montreal Canada and Washington D.C. Angela began her career as a special education teacher where she worked with children with severe disabilities at the elementary school level. She has since changed careers and is now working at UBS Financial Services with the Gupta Group. The Gupta Group was thrilled to partner with BCG to sponsor the 2010 and 2011 UCP Golf Tournament. Angela recognizes the work that must be done to improve the lives of individuals with disabilities and knows first hand how difficult yet rewarding it is to be working in the trenches. She is honored and committed to serve the Guild with all their incredible volunteers.
Shelia Chue
Shelia Chue will serve as Treasurer of the Beach & Country Guild Board this year after participating in the Guild for six years. Shelia enjoyed over 25 years in Private Banking with Union Bank and US Bank and as an accountant. Throughout her career she served on several Boards including, San Diego Opera, March of Dimes-San Diego, North Coast Repertory Theatre and San Diego Cares.
Shelia commented, “I am especially pleased to be a member of Beach and Country Guild. I’ve always enjoyed giving back to the San Diego Community through service. BCG provides a very rewarding experience working with a most special group of ladies that provide heartfelt and hands-on assistance to meet the very specific needs of those challenged by Cerebral Palsy. I look forward to participating with BCG for many years to come.
